I have to say that I’m really tired of this Summer already, aren’t you?  Been entirely too hot and too busy.  I’m looking forward to a sleepy September then on to the Halloween time.

This week, I had to travel on business and the kids went back to school in what should be considered the worst planning decision anyone has made since Trump hired Omarosa.  I’m pretty well spent and have again missed out on much of the news in the past week.

I suppose we’re close to a verdict on the Manafort case?  America will at long last be saved from his lawless outlawry. Mueller will have accomplished the important work he was appointed to do which had something to do with collusion or money laundering with Russia or Ukraine and he was going to flip on Trump or defiantly refuse to plead guilty no matter how many charges were leveled against him.  Who remembers anymore?

He’s guilty though, right?  Whatever prosecutorial or other abuse of his authority Mueller is doing in Manafort’s case, we can fairly say that the case against Manafort getting rich from shady deals is pretty damning, can’t we?  Still nothing to the Russia conspiracy, but if someone somewhere will get some joy from seeing Manafort go down for something, then…alright.

It’s probably the only story I’m going to be watching closely this week.  What else is there?

I am very much looking forward to fall, just as you are. Cooler weather and Halloween make that a no-brainer for me. It is fairly cool today, so I am trying to get a bit of weeding in. My garden looks like something out of The Munsters. It was a complete waste of time this year. I had way too much going on to tend it and it shows. I am going to nuke what I can with roundup in a few weeks. Ok, so I have never been good in the yard. My problem is that I live next… Read more »

Ah Fall, finally a cool off, im ready for it. Bonfire weather.. And this year il really be able to enjoy it a bit more now that we have fenced in the back yard and got the muddy mess back there into some semblance of a green yard. As for my garden, it wen to hell i mowed off my green beans last week.. all i have left is my over grown tomatoes. peppers and watermelons…. sad thing to say, my garden grew bettter grass than veggies… as for the news, another crazy white guy murders his family, https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/08/20/colorado-man-charged-murder-killed-pregnant-wife-two-daughters/1047647002/ As… Read more »

Many on the left are outraged that ICE arrested an illegal alien who was driving his wife, who was in labor at the time, to the hospital. Most articles I’ve seen on the subject end there – especially the headlines. But the guy is wanted for murder on an international arrest warrant out of Mexico. Some of the headlines I’ve read that omit that fact came out after this came to light, and one article I read in the Times didn’t mention the warrant until the fifth paragraph. Go ahead, tell me the media just reports the news.

I absolutely hate gardening. Not by coincidence we invite my in-laws to the house in May and magically the yard gets a once over from my ADHD father-in-law. Which he actually enjoys doing, so it’s a win-win. As for maintenance, I ended up hiring my 13 year-old neighbour to do the weeding and raking. Living in the city we don’t have grass (80% of the back yard is patio stone) and a very small yard. Most of the work involves pulling weeds and sweeping/raking up the shit that falls off of trees. and whatever the rodents track around. It’s the… Read more »

Spring is about to start here, looking forward to it.

More ‘nothing to see here, this is all just normal’ news…

In acknowledging the charges against him, Cohen said he was directed to violate campaign law at the direction of a candidate for federal office.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-08-21/michael-cohen-appears-in-court-over-hush-payments-plea-update

So the president’s personal lawyer admited that he was in a criminal conspiracy with his client.

BTW, how’s Ken Starr doing investigating that real estate deal?

Clinton certainly was.

Trump, not so much. The MSM adored Clinton and despise Trump.

And? What does that matter, legally? Trump supporters are now having to find new ways of contorting themselves. The world doesn’t make enough popcorn for this. Or he just has nothing to offer. Or he’s already been told he’ll be pardoned. Any self-respecting member of a crime family knows that if you have to go to prison for the boss, you do. Cohen just couldn’t do it. Cool that your leader is encouraging people not to cooperate with the authorities , that’s amazeballs. And it turns out the only reason Manafort didn’t… Read more »

For the record, I’m not interested in playing “But what about?” when it comes to Trump. This is his problem, and has squat to do with Obama or Hillary. But there may be some good news for him:

And? What does that matter, legally?

It shouldn’t, but it does. The MSM tried to cover for Clinton’s misdeeds (alleged rape in one case, lying to a Grand Jury in another), and revels in trying to expose Trump’s. Legality is only relevant when you have an “R” after your name. Not so much when you have a “D”. Witness Hillary Clinton, for example. Comey decided to let her off the hook knowing full well she was guilty, and he made that decision long before the investigation concluded. And the MSM had no problem with that.

CMNZ

If Trump thinks “old” crimes shouldn’t be prosecuted, why deport people who came illegally as kids, through no fault of their own, a long time ago?

CMNZ

…the inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, did not challenge the conclusion that Mrs. Clinton should not be prosecuted. That investigation loomed over most of the presidential campaign, and Mr. Horowitz and his investigators uncovered no proof that political opinions at the F.B.I. influenced its outcome. “We found no evidence that the conclusions by department prosecutors were affected by bias or other improper considerations,” he wrote. “Rather, we concluded that they were based on the prosecutor’s assessment of facts, the law and past department practice.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/apr/13/james-comey-book-hillary-clinton-email-investigation But yeah forgot about what Trump and his ‘best people’ have actually done (and is… Read more »

But Comey flat-out admitted that Clinton did things that were illegal. He flat-out stated that classified emails were on unsecured servers. That is illegal. If you really cared at all about unsecured information you’d be ripping into Trump and his team’s approach to security.

Are they storing classified documents on those devices? That is the real question, and the article cannot answer it definitively. It only mentioned “potential” violations. Clinton’s violations were actual, not “potential”. And she got away with it, not even a slap on the wrist.

I mean, seriously, you say that with a straight face as if the other option (Hillary Clinton) would have been the least bit different. I do. The difference is stark. And since we’re still beating this dead horse, here is a sample of what the left is a willing hostage to:

San Francisco’s streets are so filthy that at least one infectious disease expert has compared the city to some of the dirtiest slums in the world.

The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of the city in February, finding giant mounds of trash and food on the majority of streets. At least 100 discarded needles and more than 300 piles of human feces were also found in downtown San Francisco, according to the report.
