First off, have a drink.  Or three.

You good?  I’m good.  Finished off two bottles of wine today.  I’m merry.

So we had some technical difficulties this week, if you noticed.  But no worries, we’ve had our top man zoom on it.  We’re online and ready for a good, old-fashioned open post brought to you straight from the Drudge Report.  What’s going on at the moment?

Well, my own town is going through a rare November blizzard.  I’m grateful that I’m not traveling anywhere.

For world events, Russia has escalated tensions with Ukraine.

Russia has opened fire on Ukrainian ships and captured three vessels in a major escalation of tensions off the coast of Crimea.

Three sailors have been wounded after the Ukrainian navy said two artillery boats were hit by the strikes in the Black Sea.

Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko called an emergency session of his war cabinet and said he will propose that parliament declare martial law.

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said it used weapons after the Ukrainian ships ignored demands to stop and that it impounded three vessels which had illegally crossed the border.

The three injured sailors are receiving medical treatment and their lives are not in danger, the FSB said.

As a reminder, this isn’t America’s problem but I’m sure we’ll get mixed up in it further somehow, seeing as how we helped cause the entire Ukraine crisis to begin with.

Speaking of helping along Russian aggression, Alan Dershowitz has suggested that the Mueller report will be politically damaging for the Trump Administration, whatever that means.

That’s about it in the Trump-Russia news, which is thankfully almost over as a thing.  Let’s move on to some videos.

Here’s an explanation about what’s wrong with JK Rowling.

No matter how weird you think furries are, they are much, much worse than you know according to a furry.

That should get things started for the week.  I’m going to lie down for a bit.

The glitch seems to have been a weekend thing. Maybe your Intertubes decide to take the weekend off? China may have gone there. Brexit is sort of finally a thing, but nobody’s happy. Also a guy decided he wanted to “share Jesus” with people who were supposed to be left alone. Authorities are attempting to recover his body, but it may be too late, and if the natives were exposed to it he may have “shared” more with them than he intended, but hey it was for Jesus, right? Also Mexico has decided that it doesn’t like illegal immigrants, either.… Read more »

Still haven’t really figured out what the trouble is. I do have a couple other databases and sites hosted, and have for years now had to occasionally beat back SQL injection attacks. Twice over the weekend, the database server shut down and needed a reboot, but not being an expert, I can’t seem to suss out the reason. I have deleted an old database that I suspect may have had something to do with it, but I’m really not sure. Fortunately the current version of WordPress this fine establishment runs on automatically updates, so that will help keep the attackers… Read more »

Nonsense from a previous episode: Still suffering from BDS, and now with a nasty case of TDS. I almost feel sorry for you, CM. Citing the number of people who believed Saddam was involved in 9/11 is BDS. Noting that anyone is entitled to seek asylum, it’s a legal process, and observing that Trump wants to prejudge that by determining people to be criminals, is TDS. Mmmmmmmmkay. What colour is the sky on your planet, Zurvan? While those two statements are true, Thanks Delurked. And therefore “due process” is yet to occur – it does not go “out the window… Read more »

Nice work Zoom! Meanwhile, media bias continues. Mainstream media organizations melted down on Monday after a number of nooses were found hanging in the vicinity of the capitol building, strung from trees as part of a “message” campaign — though the Associated Press, which first reported the story, didn’t give much more information about the “message” the nooses were trying to send, only that it was one of “hate.” … The signs indicated that the nooses were part of a protest by Democrats, warning against re-electing Hyde-Smith. “We’re hanging nooses to remind people that times haven’t changed,” read one sign.… Read more »

Times tear gas was used at the border under Obama – 1.3 times per month on average. Times CM and the media cared about it – 0.

Meanwhile it’s been reported that men were pushing women and children in front of them, using them as human shields, and then throwing rocks from behind them. And there is evidence the emotion tugging photos that have been plastered everywhere were staged. But hey, Trump bad, eh, disingenuous man?

it does not go “out the window the moment the caravan formed”. https://www.influencewatch.org/non-profit/pueblo-sin-fronteras/ The Pueblo Sin Fronteras (“People Without Borders”) is a project of La Familia Latina Unida, a Chicago, Illinois-based 501(c)(4) illegal immigration advocacy organization formed in 2001 by Elvira Arellano, an activist for immigrants living illegally in the United States. The organization is affiliated with the Chicago-based 501(c)(3) pro-illegal immigration groups Centro Sin Fronteras and Pueblo Sin Fronteras. Together, the organizations have been involved in organizing approximately 1,000 economic migrants from Central America to attempt to cross the U.S. and Mexican borders illegally since 2010.[1] A number of… Read more »

Innocent until proven guilty? Not at the border Everyone knows the principle of being innocent until proven guilty: The burden of proof is on the accuser to show the guilt of the accused. In the absence of the requisite amount of proof, the accused will be considered innocent. What people may not know is that a similar principle does not apply at the border. It’s a whole different story at the border. Foreign nationals carry a burden of proof when they present themselves for admission to the United States. Each and every time, the foreign national carries the burden of… Read more »

CM If you’re really concerned about the migration and these human lives mean so much to you perhaps you can ask your leaders and fellow countrymen in New Zealand to step up and take them in. You have one of the lowest population densities in the western nations so there’s plenty of room. Since you’re surrounded by a body of water you don’t get the opportunity for migrants to march over to your country demanding entry, but maybe something could be worked out. Perhaps writing to your leaders will get the ball rolling or you can just stick to your… Read more »

In your mind, I’m sure it was.

You are free to indulge in whatever narrative torques your leftist cookies, of course. Orange Man Bad.

And you failed to decipher it correctly. Hence the question.

“Torques” is a verb. Not a noun. Maybe you can figure it out now.

Immediate fail.

Well, that “immediate fail” has been fixed. So it no longer qualifies.

People can’t be guilty of a crime before they’re in a position to even be able to commit that crime.
