The White Rabbit
“I’m late! I’m late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I’m late! I’m late! I’m late!”
We had to take our son to an appointment last evening that ran a bit late and I was too zonked to put this together. So I am a bit tardy this week.
Speaking of emergencies …
I don’t know about you but I feel like my hair is on fire. All this talk about an emergency at the border has me all in a dither and panicky-like. My pearls are clutched so tight I can’t grab my shotgun and my hands are too shaky to load it anyway. My heart is racing and sweat is running down my face. Thankfully Trump has finally declared an emergency and I can relax and all is well.
I can’t wait to see it all play out. Just think of all the problems that Democrats can solve once back in office. I might just become a Democrat to enjoy all that winning without having to do anything. Being an “independent” is pretty difficult and time consuming, so as life starts getting complicated I might just have to delegate better. Kidding aside, I do have to put my focus closer to home for the foreseeable future.
Those old children’s stories were fucked up. I tried to get my son to read Alice in Wonderland once and he just didn’t want to do it. He knows a lot of the themes and events in the book, but he just didn’t want to read it. I did get him to read the original Pinocchio together with me. It was an eye-opener. I might try to get him to read Picture of Dorian Gray. Much like Alice, he would like the themes, but it is hard to read. Good experience for him, but a hard sell as a parent.
Play songs with safety/emergency themes or nursery rhymes. And remember what the dormouse said – “Feed Your Head” …
